Sex & drugs & rock 'n' roll – it may sound like fun, but is it really?
It is not uncommon for alcohol and drug use to be linked to sex. Unfortunately, young people increasingly report bad experiences encountered in situations involving the combination glorified by the song. v opevani situaciji.
For example, one person believed that using alcohol or drugs would make them "cool", a rebel, while in reality they lost control of the situation and exposed themselves to various risks.
You might think it is fun and you might feel more relaxed and confident, more like your peers, when using various substances, but one can quickly go too far with alcohol or drugs and the fun is quickly ruined.
Sometimes there will be just vomiting and nausea, maybe a minor embarrassment, which will give you a headache in the morning; however, many stories are much sadder.
When we are drunk or otherwise incapable of clear judgement, many things can happen that can lead to serious consequences – unwanted sexual intercourse, even unwanted pregnancy, various sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, violence, car and other accidents, and also a growing number of unwanted publications of information, photographs and videos on the internet.
If you have felt such a temptation or had a bad experience, it is best that you talk about it with an adult you trust! If no one else is available, you can always turn to your family doctor, who will certainly be able to advise you, or to one of the following organisations, which IN SLOVENIA help young people in similar situations:
