Work
|
The work capacity of a person infected with HIV depends on his or her physical and mental condition and on the phase of natural progress at which the infection was detected. In principle, an infected person without symptoms and health problems should continue his or her work for as long as possible. Although such a person is not obliged to notify his or her employer about the infection, this may be unavoidable in certain circumstances, e.g. on a business trip to countries that require a certificate on HIV infection for entry, or at the time of immunisation with live vaccines that could be hazardous. In such cases, the person needs to consult his or her attending physician. |
