Is there a possibility of contracting an STD in golden shower?
|
There are no data on potential infection with HIV in this way, although the HIV virus can be found in urine. Nevertheless, infection is theoretically possible. Infection may occur through urination by the infected partner on an injured skin/mucous membrane, on a wound or in the eye. Infection with Hepatitis B may occur in the same way. The risk of infection is therefore very low. Golden shower may be a means of transmission of some bacterial infections (gonorrhoea, Chlamydia…), especially through urination in the mouth. In addition, there is a possibility of infection with the herpes virus. |
