|
The presence of an untreated STD (e.g. gonorrhoea, Chlamydial infections, syphilis, genital herpes) may increase the risk of HIV infection. If you think you may have an STD, you must seek medical assistance and get proper treatment. The most common symptoms and problems are: genital discharge, burning pain on urination, blisters, wounds or lesions on the genitals, mouth or around it. Women may also experience irregular bleeding (outside the menstrual cycle) or vaginal pain during sexual intercourse. |
